What is the Ring of Fire?
A non-stop individual or team time trail for bike racers, cyclists, ultra types or OBRA racers. There are three divisions:
6 Hour Racers will compete only on the ‘night’ loop – starting at 1PM Saturday afternoon. You can register day of race and do not need to attend the pre-race meeting. Self support makes this a cinch! Awesome roads make this a fun trip to central Oregon for a great afternoon of bike racing.

12 hour racers will complete a shorter version of the day route and then rip around Maupin toting up miles for the win.

24 hour racers will complete a 157 mile day loop and turn circles around Maupin all night long.

2009 Ring of Fire Route Books are available now as pdf documents:

UMCA membership is not required for this race, but the ROF does count toward the JMC. You’ve got to pay to play, so pony up and Join. Contact the UMCA at (303) 545-9566.

The Ring of Fire is not a RAAM qualifer — so we made it even harder!
See the ROF FAQ for detailed information on registration and safety requirements.
