Dates for 2012 – Ring of Fire will be held September 7-8, 2012. Are you ready?
This year’s race will begin Friday NIGHT at 7:30PM for the 24 hour racers!
12 hour racers begin at 6:30AM on Saturday September 8th.
6 hour racers start at 12:00PM on Saturday September 8th.

What is the Ring of Fire?
A non-stop individual or team time trail for bike racers, cyclists, ultra types or OBRA racers. There are three divisions:
6 Hour Racers will compete only on the ‘short’ loop – starting at noon Saturday. You can register day of race and do not need to attend the pre-race meeting. Self support makes this a cinch! Awesome roads make this a fun trip to central Oregon for a great afternoon of bike racing.

12 hour racers will start Saturday morning and complete a shorter version of the new long loop. They will then rip around Maupin toting up miles for the win.

24 hour racers will need a support vehicle but can get by on much more relaxed rules than an RQ type race. We are also allowing limited leapfrog support on the short loop this year for both 12s and 24s.

Due to the Hwy 35 construction, Ring of Fire’s long loops will take place on the Double Trouble course. 12 hour racers will have a much altered version of the DT course as their long loop. 24 hour racers will most likely do the 180 mile version. Updates as they happen.

The Ring of Fire is not a RAAM qualifier — so we made it even harder!
