RAO Performance Camp

RAO Performance Camp: April 18-20, 2008

At Race Across Oregon Performance Camps we believe in training smart. Whether your goals for the season include completing your first century, racing, touring, or simply losing a few pounds, the RAO Spring Training Camps are not only the perfect foundation for a productive and successful cycling season, but also a motivating start to general health and fitness for the beginner to advanced rider.

RAO Founder George Thomas and Co-Director Terri Gooch have designated the Imperial River Company and surrounding Deschutes River Valley as the perfect setting to host our camps because the roads around Maupin are the perfect training ground for cyclists of all levels. There’s something for everyone here: challenging long climbs, rolling hills, and long stretches of flat and empty country roads.

Come take a break and get ready for the cycling season in scenic Oregon with our national-class coaches and wonderfully supportive staff of mechanics and massage therapists.

Located in northern Oregon, Maupin and the Imperial River Company are just 75 miles from Portland, with easy access from Southern Oregon to Seattle.

From the moment you arrive, these camps are fully supported. Your registration fee includes: coaching, hotel accommodations, meals, mechanical support, one 30 minute massage and follow vehicles for all rides.

This camp will cover the following topics:
Climbing and Descending Techniques, Base-Building endurance work, Pedaling Technique and Analysis, Pace-Lining, Pre-Race Routine, Flexibility Training for Cyclists, Mental Training Techniques, Training with Power and much more.
