We caught another one!

Or two actually – RAO welcomes back Alessandro Colo, and extends a special greeting to our first female solo, Greta Olson of Bellingham, WA. Look for blogs from both of these two racers to be up on the site soon.

We’ve also had our first racer to drop from the start list: Curt Simkins of Dundee, OR had to withdraw due to scheduling conflicts – hope to see you next year Curt!

RAO would like to say congratulations to former RAO’ers who have been tearing up the road:

At the Sebring 24 race Jim Kern (3rd in RAO ‘05) kicked some serious booty winning overall with 517 miles in the 24 hour competition. Jim even beat the drafting 24 hour racers – all we can say is WOW!

Great finish at the Butterfield Double by hot 50+ solo RAO’ers Wade Baker (2nd RAO ‘05) and David Holt(many good FC finishes). I for one can’t wait to see these guys racing at RAO this year. It should be quite the show!

Take a peak at John Spurgeon’s blog he’s done a wonderful update on his FC508 experience. Congratulations on an awesome finish, John.

John Williams (1st Four Person Team ‘05) SMOKED the entire field at the Jack Frost TT – coming in more than two minutes ahead of all other riders. Watch out RAO Speedwagon, the Sharks are circling…

Congratulations to Kenneth Philbrick (RAO solo winner ‘05, Team Tartan Two Man for ‘06) for winning his division at the Jack Frost TT last weekend. Kenneth placed 16th overall out of aproximately 330 riders. Way to go Kenneth – must be that fancy new Co-Motion TT Frameset. Be sure to check it out on Kenneth’s blog

Richard Seton (2nd ‘05 Four Person Mixed Team Bag Balm racer) also had a great race at the Jack Frost competing on the tandem with his wife Nancy. I think we are going to see quite a race this year between the Kick Ass Llamas and the Bag Balmers….I really hope we get at least one more entry in the mixed four person field——I want to see the fur fly!

We still have a few openings in the four day camp. Please contact RAO HQ if you have any questions or would like to reserve a spot.
