The Handmade Bicycle Show was cool – and the seminar that George participated in was well attended. The first speaker, Jonathon Nichols, was funny and interesting – sadly that was all I had a chance to hear as Millie and I spent the rest of the morning running around and playing in the hallways. Oh well – George said it went well and seemed very happy with the whole thing.
The whole handmade bike thing was also really awesome. George and I have the good fortune to ride handmade bikes – Co-Motions – they’ve been our sponsor for many years. It was amazing to see the different frame materials – hardwood (!), steel, ti and of course the famous Calfee Bamboo bike – if you missed it, check out the photos at VeloNews and the snarkiest comments at Bike Snob NYC
I’d like to let everyone know about a race that will be coming up this May – Glenn Johnson is putting on a 12/24 hour road race on May 31, 2008. Although his website is still under construction, you can check out the splash page for the Lewis and Clark Ultra here
It appears that Glenn is getting everything ready for an awesome event – I for one am excited to have an event to race in instead of working at!
