So, Did I tell you

that we had an incredible DRVTTF? Did I even mention DRVTTF? It was crazy busy after getting back from Arizona – plue we had snow everyday it wasn’t raining. Lots of work to catch up on – that kind of stuff. Then we had our TT stage race the last weekend of April in Maupin and it was FABULOUS!
I have to say that George and I were really in sync and put on a great race. We had the most AMAZING volunteers this year. Really the best ever. Allie, Jane and Misha helped me at the finish line and they were just in the flow. Greg Gesser was there to work with George at the start line and setting course. They, of course, rocked it out. We also had a number of Maupinites who help us out each year; Lynn (who is putting on a bike ride in Maupin to support the fire departament – write me for details) Dennis, Susan, Donna, all of the folks at the Imperial. Michael Olsen from Forest Grove also came out to help. He has an awesome bike shop if you are ever out that way. My mom also flew out and took care of Millie all weekend – she got to meet a bunch of people and really had a wonderful time taking care of the little one.
I enjoy putting on this race so much. The pace is pretty relentless, since there are two stages on Saturday and another one on Sunday. And lots of numbers to crunch and add to spreadsheets. But it’s so fun. And we’ve really got a number of loyal racers who come out every year. We also had a lot of new racers and an even bigger number of new women racers. Too cool.
I’d like to thank everyone again for coming out and racing or helping. We hope to see you all next year – especially my finish line women!!
