Freedom

George and I were able to take a short trip last weekend out to Maupin. We left mid day on Saturday arriving in Maupin around 330PM. We checked into the Imperial River Company – which is sort of like a home away from home for me. We loaded Millie up in the new Burley trailer and went for a ride along the Deschutes River. It was gorgeous.
We saw a KingFisher – which is one of my favourite birds –
On Sunday we met up with some friends who also have a small child and a trailer and we went for another ride. Millie did pretty well, though she started crying after about 90 minutes. We’ve since gone riding again this week and she fell asleep – so I don’t think she has any terrible memories of being strapped in against her will!
The weather this week hasn’t been so nice and work has been overwhelming. George and I are celebrating our anniversary this Saturday, so we’re planning on one more night out in Maupin – honestly I can’t wait to get out there again. I felt so incredibly relaxed last Sunday – I can’t remember the last time I felt so rested – but sadly that feeling was gone about 30 minutes after we got home on Sunday evening. This week has been so trying and I’ve only gotten out to ride once. I feel like I am never going to be ready for PAC Tour Camp.
Weekend where are you?
