Additions and subtractions

Things just got a little easier for the solo field. I am VERY sorry to say that Kenneth Philbrick had to withdraw today. He was definitely going to be a top contender. Kenneth started getting knee pain during the Davis Double. Like all good athletes Philbrick tried to work through the pain and ended up with a severe case of tendenitis in his knees. We’re hoping he’ll still make it to the pre-race meeting where he can show off his kilt.
Rider #100 Don Wiens of Hillsboro, OR has just registered. Nutrition and logistical problems forced Don from the race at Long Creek last year which was a real drag because he was riding very well. I look for Don to have a solid performance this year.
Two-Person Team Blood, Sweat & Gears has withdrawn from the race. Good friend and webmaster Mark Newsome was called away on a family emergency.
